Sorenson Capital Closes $400M Fund
Lehi, Utah-based Sorenson Capital, a private equity fund, said today that it has closed on a $400M fund, Sorenson Capital Partners III. Sorenson said that the fund will be invested in companies with revenues between $30 and $300M; the new fund follows Sorenson Capital I, a $250M private equity fund which closed in May of 2004. Among investments that Sorenson has made were Omniture, MITY Enterprises, Provo Craft, and Kiddie Kandids. Sorenson said the new fund will be managed by Fraser Bullock, Ron Mika, Tim Layton, Matt Lehman, and Luke Sorenson; the fund said it now has 30 employees.
