TechStars Selects Ten Start-ups
TechStars, the venture acceleration program run by a set of venture capitalists and angel investors in Boulder, Colorado, said this week that it has narrowed its field down from 300 applicants to 10 start-ups. TechStars said that the selected firms will develop their prototypes, products and business models this summer in Boulder, Colorado, and will receive office space, operations support and up to $15,000 in seed capital. Two of the teams are from Colorado. The rest hail from New York, Pennsylvania, California, Florida, Missouri, Texas, South Carolina and Sweden. TechStars was founded by investors and entrepreneurs David Cohen, Brad Feld, Jared Polis and David Brown, and is focused on attracting entrepreneurial ventures into the Boulder area.
