Region Sees Around $105.3M In Venture Deals For Q4
PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association have released their quarterly numbers for venture investments, reporting that there was $65.1M in 16 venture capital deals for Colorado for Q4 of 2006, and $50.2M and 19 deals in the Southwest, which includes Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. The totals compare to $5.7B invested in the quarter nationally in 802 deals, the highest level of investments in venture capital since 2001. According to the report, there was $25.5B in investments nationally for the year, in 3,416 venture deals, up 12 percent in terms of value, and up 10 percent in year-to-year deal count.
