McDATA Ties Into Sun For Data Migration
Broomfield, Colorado-based McDATA has rolled out a new solution with Sun Microsystems, saying this week that Sun will use its technology and services as part of a new data migration service. McData's hardware will be used to support customers with ESCON to FICON data migration requirements. The new offering is part of a Sun service that helps companies migrate mainframe data from the older ESCON to newer FICON storage interconnect.
