LimeLight Networks Scores $130M
Tempe, Arizona-based LImelight Networks, an operator of a content delivery network focused on digital media, said that it has received $130M in an equity financing round. The round was led by Goldman Sachs Capital Partners. As part of the funding, a representative from Goldman Sachs will join the company's board of directors. Limelight provides content delivery for video, music, games, and downloads, and counts Akimbo, ABC Radio Networks, Facebook, IFILM, MySpace, Real Networks Rhapsody, MSNBC, and others among its customers.
