Tempe, Arizona-based Limelight Networks said this morning that it has sold its EyeWonder rich media advertising unit to DG, in a deal worth $66M in cash. Limelight asid that DG plans to combine EyeWonder and MediaMind to create a provider of interactive advertising services. Limelight said the sale will allow it to focus on its globally distributed computing platform and software-as-a-service solutions. Limelight had acquired EyeWonder in December of 2009, in a deal worth approximately $110M.
