SDCmaterials Gets $2.2M
Tempe, Arizona-based SDCmaterials, a company that is developing nanotechnology products, has received a round of venture funding. SDCmaterials received the Series B round from BASF Venture Capital America, and SChropp Group. The firm said that the new funding will be used to improve the company's existing equipment, increase its headcount, and expand production capacity. SDCmaterials is developing nano-materials, including nano-metals, nano-alloys, carbines, nitrides, and ceramics. The firm said that the materials may be applicable to the development of new catalysts and hard materials for cutting tool industries.
