Starz, AT&T Offer Vongo Via Broadband
Englewood, Colorado-based Starz Entertainment Group today said that it will offer its Vongo Internet movie-delivery service to AT&T High Speed Internet customers. The deal is the company's first with a broadband provider. Starz and AT&T said that Starz will offer a 14-day free trial offer and provide a cobranded site to AT&T customers. Starz launched the movie download service in January. The deal comes as AT&T announced an upgrade to its broadband service for 3mbps and 6mbps downstream service. The Vongo service provides video downloads and access to the Starz TV channel via broadband, and had previously been available directly through the Vongo web site.
