Wireless Service Provider Targets Boise

High speed, wireless Internet service provider Clearwire, which is rolling out a nationwide wireless network based on the next generation WIMAX standard, has selected Boise, Idaho as one of the target markets for rollout in September, the firm said today. Clearwire said that Boise comes in addition to Bellingham, Washington and either markets in Texas for its September 1st rollout of its CLEAR service. Clearwire just deployed in Las Vegas in July. Clearwire is hoping to be able to more affordably provide wireless network coverage using WIMAX, which has significantly greater range than existing WiFi hotspot equipment.
