White House's TechHire Promotes Jobs In Colorado, Salt Lake, Albuquerque

Need a technology job? A new, White House initiative, called TechHire, has chosen three communities spread across the region to help connect more Americans with well paying technology jobs. According to President Obama today, the new TechHire initiative--kicking off in Colorado, Salt Lake City, and Albuquerque, part of 21 communities around the nation--to help provide education and training in the areas of cybersecurity, network administration, coding, project management, UI design and data analytics. The new initiative is a part of an effort to provide waht the White House describes as pathway to the middle class. Among the initiative is a specific effort to link potential students with "coding bootcamps" and other online courses where workers can quickly learn high tech skills, and also connect those same workers with job opportunities from local companies.
