WayIn Launches Twitter Polling Service, TwitPolls

Denver-based Wayin, the venture-backed developer of social polling software, said today that it has launched TwitPolls, an interactive, social survey and polling service aimed at Twitter users. Wayin said the new service allows users to ask their Twitter followers questions, and tally and track results automatically. The new service collects replies and hashtag answers from within Twitter for its polls, and is free. Among the first users of the service are the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche. Wayin is venture backed by U.S. Venture Partners, TIBCO Software, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, and angels. The firm was founded by Sun Microsystems founder Scott McNealy.
