Wavelink Promotes Sales VP

Wavelink Corp., a publisher of mobile communications software, reported Tuesday that it has promoted Stephen Bemis as vice president of worldwide sales. Describing him as a pioneer of wireless data communications, Wavelink said Bemis has been with the firm since 2003 and was senior director of channel sales before his promotion. In his new role, the Midvale, Utah-based company said, Bemis will oversee the strategic direction of its sales efforts while focusing on the development of its domestic and international partnerships. Prior to joining Wavelink, Bemis worked for Telxon Corp., MarketOrder and Versatile Mobile Systems. While at Telxon in 1982, Wavelink said, Bemis installed one of the first commercial wireless data systems.
