ViaWest Names COO

Denver-based data center and cloud hosting firm Viawest has named a new Chief Operating Officer, the firm said last week. The firm said that Bob Newman has been appointed as the company's Chief Operating Officer, and will oversee data center management, service delivery, service support, information technology, engineering, security, compliance and customer relations for the company. Newman has been at ViaWest since 2010, when he joined as Senior Vice President of Service Delivery. Newman also previously served at the LDS Church and Infocrossing.
