Verizon Expands VCAST Into Utah

Verizon Wireless has rolled out its new high speed, wireless services into Salt Lake City, adding its V CAST 3G wireless broadband services to the metropolitan area. The wireless carrier said that its 3G service is available from Ogden to Payson, and includes coverage at Salt Lake City's International Airport. Verizon's services are based on the company's new high speed EV-DO network, which the company has been rolling out across major metropolitan markets in the last couple of years. Verizon has recently started carrying clips of popular CBS shows such as CSI, Survivor, and the Late Show with David Letterman on its VCAST services. Verizon's VCAST services started operation in San Diego and Washington DC in October of 2003.
