Dow Jones VentureSource reported today that venture capital investments in U.S. companies rose to $29.9 billion in 2007, the highest level of venture capital investment since 2001. The firm reported that there was an 8% increase in capital investments in firms, with 2,648 deals reported in the U.S. last year.
