Valen Technologies Raises $6.5M

Denver-based Valen Technologies, a publisher of predictive analytics software for the property and casualty insurance industry, has concluded its third round of venture financing after receiving some $6.5 million, one of the round's lead investors announced Tuesday. Venture capital firm Core Capital Partners said Valen will use the money to support expansion efforts in marketing, engineering, professional services and channel development. During Q3 2007, Core Capital noted, Valen closed two major channel deals, acquired one of the world’s largest insurers as a customer and added several small- and medium-sized companies as clients.
