Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico Top States Improving Energy Efficiency

Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico are among the three most-improved states in the nation in energy efficiency efforts, according to a report released today by the nonprofit American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). According to the group, which advocates for improving energy efficiency in the nation to help promote economic prosperity, energy security, and environmental protection, said today that the three states are among the four most-improved states in the nation in terms of their energy efficiency efforts. Utah was up 11 spots from 2009 to #12, Arizona was up 11 spots to #18, and New Mexico was up eight spots to #22 on the listing of most energy efficient states by the group. California leads the nation in its investment in energy efficiency, according to the report.
