Unirac Acquired By Hilti

Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Unirac, a manufacturer of photovoltaic solar panel mounting hardware, has been acquired by Hilti Group, based in Liechtenstein. According to Hilti Group, the acquisition will broaden its product portfolio and enhance its current market reach. Unirac is a major provider of mounting rails used by installers of solar panels, including for residential roof mounting. According to Hilti, Unirac will continue to be based in Albuquerque, and operate under its existing management structure and name. Unirac has over 100 employees, and was previously owned by private equity firm Global Environment Fund (GEF).
