The18 Raises $1M, Eyes Series A For Soccer Site

Boulder-based online soccer destination The18 said Wednesday that it recently raised $1M in a seed funding from individual investors, and is aiming at a Series A round of funding in 2016. The startup--led by Pete Burridge--offers up an online platform aimed at soccer enthusiasts. The company said it is seeing more than one million monthly visits from users. The company features soccer news, commentary, training resources, a social community, and e-commerce, with a focus on the news aspect of the site. Names of the individual investors in the company were not announced.
