Tesla Factory Odds Multiply In Region, As Company Eyes Two States

The odds of a huge "gigafactory" in the region appear to have multiplied this week, as high flying electric car maker Tesla Motors disclosed this week it is close to naming two U.S. states for a battery "gigafactory", rather than a single site--and will break ground on both factories to ensure it gets to market on time. Tesla--which has been looking at Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas for the factory--said the move will go avoid risks with timing on getting its battery packs to market.
