TerraLUX Expands, Hires Execs

Longmont-based TerraLux, a developer of LED-based lighting products, said today that it has expanded to a new site in Longmont and is planning further expansion, and has also hired two executives. The firm said that it has gone from 7 employees in 2009 to 27 now, with plans to expand to 35 by the end of the year. The firm also said it has hired Andrew Goldstein as Chief Operating Officer, and Gary Durian as Vice President of Engineering. Goldstein was recently at Tendril, and also has served at operations management experience and has had great success in companies such as Exabyte, Seagate, and Network Photonics. Durian joins from Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation, and also has served at JW Speaker. TerraLux's new location is in the Campus at Longmont on LeftHand Circle. The firm is venture backed by Emerald Technology Ventures and Access Venture Partners.
