TeamSnap Raises $25M More

Boulder-based sports team and club management software developer TeamSnap announced this morning that it has raised $25M in new funding, led by the Foundry Group, the majority of the funding from Foundry's new Foundry Group Next fund, but also included new investor Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited. TeamSnap said it will use the funding to scale the company. TeamSnap, led by CEO Dave DuPont, says it now has 15 million customers across 96 countries using its product. Foundry Group Next is the $500M fund recently raised by Foundry Group specifically for follow on investments in existing portfolio companies. Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited is the company which acquired Research in Motion in 2013. TeamSnap's cloud-based software helps teams, clubs, and leagues manage everything from team rosters and communications, to sharing photos, to game scheduling. TeamSnap had reported around 10 million customers in April of last year. TeamSnap has now raised somewhere north of $45M.
