Tandberg Continues VXA Support

Tandberg Data, the new owner of Boulder-based Exabyte, said today that it will continue to support Exabyte's VXA Packet technology and will continue to develop Exabyte's next generation tape drive format. Tandberg, which acquired Exabyte in August of last year, said that it will integrate Exabyte's VXA technology into its tape drive and tape automation product portfolio, and will continue to sell a full line of VXA drives and autoloaders. Tandberg is joining the VXA Alliance, an industry group focused on VXA technology, as part of its acquisition of Exabyte. That group also includes Adaptec, EMC, Imation, as well as others who support the VXA format.
