Micron Buys Rest Of JV From Intel

Boise, Idaho-based Micron is buying the rest of a flash memory joint venture it has with Intel, Micron said Thursday. According to Micron, it is buying the rest of IM Flash Technologies, a joint venture with Intel, in a deal worth $1.5 billion in cash plus assumption of about $1 billion in debt. IM Flash makes flash used in high end data center computers. The two set up the joint venture back in 2006.
