Liberty Global Steals Netflix CEO As New CTO

Denver-based broadcast and TV giant Liberty Global has snatched away the CEO of TiVo, saying this morning that it has named Enrique Rodriguez as the company's new Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Rodriguez will start in late July. Liberty Global said that Rodriguez will lead its Technology & Innovation (T&I) team of more than 7,500 employees, with an annual operating and capital budget of more than $5 billion. The appointment leaves TiVo in a bit of lurch; the company said that, it has immediately appointed an interim President and CEO at TiVo, one of its existing board members, Raghu Rau.
