Spectra Logic: Record Enterprise Tape Growth

Boulder-based Spectra Logic, the developer of tape archiving and data backup systems, reports today that it had a "record setting" year for its enterprise tape business. The firm said it saw "strong" double-digit growth for its enterprise tape libraries, medium-sized tape libraries and disk-based backup appliances in its fiscal 2010, which ended June 30th. Actual financial details were not released by the company. The firm said the strong results drove its bottom line, and give it its fourth consecutive year of profitable growth. SpectraLogic cited strong demand for its enterprise class tape libraries, international growth--including 35 percent growht in Europe--and increases in channel partner growth, as reasons for the boost.
