Webroot Buys Swedish Internet Security Firm

Boulder-based Webroot, a developer of Internet security products, said today that it has acquired Email Systems Scandinavia (ESS), a provider of corporate Internet security in the Nordic region. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. ESS provides security services to small and medium sized businesses, and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Webroot said the buy will help it expands its product portfolio and broaden its customer based, particularly with customers in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Iceland.
