DirectPointe Signs ISP

Mstar, an Internet service provider specializing in fiber-optic networks, revealed Tuesday that it will offer a new service to its customers that will help them care and maintain for their personal computers. Mstar said the service, called Remote System Optimization Service—Remote SOS for short—was developed by DirectPointe, a Lindon, Utah-based provider of managed services for value-added retailers, ISPs and other businesses. Mstar explained that Remote SOS uses screen-sharing technology to diagnose and solve problems without ever touching customers' computers. Headquartered in Orem, Utah, Mstar’s primary offerings include fiber-optic based IPTV, Internet and digital phone service.
