Solera Networks Acquired By Blue Coat Systems

Salt Lake City-based Solera Networks, the developer of security, packet monitoring, and analytics tools, has been acquired by Blue Coat Systems. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Blue Coat said it will use the acquisition to add security analytics and forensic capabilities to its portfolio. Solera Networks was venture backed by Allegis Capital, Canopy Group, Intel Capital, Signal Peak Ventures, and Trident Capital, and had raised about $51M in funding.
