Solera Networks: WikiLeaks Show Need For Network Forensics

The controversy over damage to the U.S. by leaked confidential materials by the site WikiLeaks just points to the need for more use of network forensics, or so says South Jordan, Utah-based Solera Networks. Solera, which is in the business of producing network forensics and monitoring equipment, said the recent leaks point to the fact that "a vast majority of organizations--government or enterprise--are not adequately prepared to determine the source and scope of hacks, cyber attacks or information leaks." The firm is hoping the publicity over the leaks might spur some customers; the company develops hardware which is used to help track and protect against leaks of user data. Solera is venture backed by Trident Capital, Allegis Capital and Canopy Ventures.
