Solera Networks Adds Sales VP

Salt Lake City-based Solera Networks announced this morning that it has added Rick Simmons as its new Vice President of North American Sales. Simmons joins the firm from Bit9, and also has served at E2open, Oracle, Oblix, Silicon Graphics, and Apple Computer. Solera said Simmons has over 25 yeras of executive sales experience. Solera is a developer of a product which records and stores network traffic data, which can be used for security and threat mitigation and analytics. Solera Networks is headed by Steve Shillingford.
