Sling TV Rolls Out On Android TV
Englewood, Colorado-based Sling TV, the over-the-top, Internet television service, said today that it has launnched an Android TV application, which runs on the Google Nexus Player. Sling TV also said it is also running a promotion with Google, which gives users who pre-pay for three months of Sling TV half price on the Google device. Google's Nexus Player is a new, streaming television and Internet device which provides access to streaming video service, Internet apps, games, and more to users in their living room. Sling offers up a monthly service delivering popular cable channels via Internet streaming, starting at $20 per month. The service includes ESPN, AMC, TNT, Food Network, ABC Family, Disney Channel, CNN, and a bunch of other services with its basic package, with premium add on channels from HBO and others. The Nexus Player normally costs $99.
