Simtek Launches NVRAM Subsidiary

Colorado Springs-based Simtek, a developer of memory products, said Tuesday that it has formed a new subsidiary, AgigA Tech, which will focus on development and commercialization of low-cost, ultra high density nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM). The firm said the new unit will focus on such applications as solid-state disks. The new subsidiary will be headed by Ron Sartore.
