Simtek Adds To Board

Simtek Corp., a supplier of non-volatile, static random-access memory integrated circuits, reported Thursday that it has appointed Philip Black to its board of directors. Simtek said Black boasts more than 23 years of experience in the storage and telecom industries. The Colorado Springs, Colo.-based company said Black is currently chief executive officer of Nexsan, a manufacturer of high-capacity disk storage systems. Black has also served as CEO for LightSand Communications, Box Hill/Dot Hill and Tekelec, a company he founded and later took public in 1986. Simtek Corp.'s nonvolatile semiconductor memory products are used in various devices, including RAID servers, GPS navigational systems, industrial controllers and copiers. More information »
