Seven Peaks Buys Daily Deals Site CityDeals

Provo, Utah-based Seven Peaks, the operator of the Seven Peaks Waterparks and Trafalgar Fun Centers, said Monday that it has acquired online daily deals site CityDeals. Financial terms of the asset acquisition were not disclosed. Seven Peaks said it has been a long time customer of CityDeals, and had seen "tremendous success" in using the platform. Seven Peaks said it is working with all merchants who used CityDeals to make sure deals will be honored, and also is working out arrangements to "take care of any merchants" awaiting payment form CityDeals--apparently, the daily deals site had quite a large pool of compensation owed to advertisers.
