ServiceMagic Funds Minnesota Electronics Installer

ServiceMagic Inc., operators of a comparison-shopping Web site for domestic services, announced Thursday that it has made a strategic investment in Zip Express Installation. The extent of ServiceMagic's investment, which closed Nov. 10, was not disclosed. According to ServiceMagic, Zip Express provides consumer and commercial electronics installation services. ServiceMagic said the device setups range from wall-mounted televisions and home theater systems to computers and digital cameras. Headquartered in Golden, Colo., ServiceMagic is an operating business of IAC Inc. Zip Express Installation is based in Minneapolis, Minn.
