SendGrid Loses With Firing, Controversy

Boulder-based SendGrid has fired a developer evangelist, after controversy at a developer's conference over sexual jokes. The evangelist, Adria Richards, had publicly tweeted about the harassing comments by two developers sitting behind her at the conference. In what is bound to cause debate in the community over the acceptance of women in the high tech world, SendGrid defended the firing of Richards, saying that her action " strongly divided the same community she was supposed to unite" and that she "can no longer be effective in her role at SendGrid."
