SendGrid Launches Email Template Feature

Boulder-based email service provider SendGrid said today that it has launched a new, email template feature it calls Template Engine. According to SendGrid, the new feature helps marketers, developers, and designers deal with the challenges around creating and modifying transactional emails, making it much easier for marketers and designers to make edits to email content--rather than relying on development teams to make those changes for them. SendGrid's email delivery engine is used to send transactional emails from apps and services, handling all of the nitty gritty required for reliable email delivery. The startup is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Foundry Group, Highway 12 Ventures, Bullet Time Ventures, SoftTech VC, 500 Startups and angels, and came out of TechStars in 2009.
