SCO Takes On Banking Market

Lindon, Utah-based SCO is targeting the offshore banking market, with a new deal with an Indian provider of branch banking software. SCO said today it is working with DataVision Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, to provide core banking software for Brazil, Russia, India, and China. The two companies are working together to run DataVision's software on SCO's Unix platform. SCO said that it already has a large installed base of customers in banking in finance, particularly in Russia, India, and China. DataVision is based in India, and develops software for centralized core banking.
