Revivio, COPAN In Alliance

Longmont, Colorado-based COPAN has inked a new strategic alliance, saying yesterday that it has partnered with continuous data protection vendor Revivio in an integration deal. Copan said that the two companies are in a technocal alliance to integrate Revivio's CDP software with Copan's disk-based backup storage systems. Copan is a provider of disk-based backup systems, which use power management and disk idling techniques to provide a low-cost alternative to tape-based backup systems. Revivio develops continuous data protection software, used by the storage customers to protect and back up their data.
