Redfin Expands To Salt Lake City

Online real estate brokerage startup Redfin is expanding to Salt Lake City, saying that Salt Lake is one of three new markets it is entering with its style of heavily technology-enabled real estate shopping. The startup--based out of Seattle--already is in Denver and Colorado Springs. The company's real estate services revolve around mobile and tablet apps, a website, and agents who are not paid on commission--but instead are paid by customer satisfaction ratings. Redfin said it is also ramping up hiring in Utah as part of the expansion.
