RDX Alliance Adds Analyst Firm

Broomfield, Colorado-based RDX Storage Alliance, the nonprofit group supporting Prostor Systems' RDX format, said today that it has added storage analyst firm Storage Switzerland as a member of the group. Storage Switzerland joins DT, Dell, Fujitsu, Hitachi, HP, IBM, Imation, Maxell, NEC, ProStor Systems, and Tandberg Data in the effort. All of the firms are currently focused on the RDX removable disk technology, which was developed by ProStor as a replacement for aging tape storage formats. Storage Switzerland was founded by George Crump, who has also been at SANZ, Vanguard Technology, and StorNet, among a number of other storage industry firms.
