Ramtron Settles Product Defect Issue
Colorado Springs-based Ramtron, a maker of random access memory products, said earlier this week that it has settled a product defect claim with one of its customers. The claim was related to in-field failures of one of the firm's memory products. The company said that it will gain about $150,000 in its Q3 income as a result of the settlement and related insurance reimbursement, plus credit for future product deliveries; the firm had previously charged $815,000 due to the claim.
