Qwest Hires CFO

Denver-based Qwest Communications International Inc. reported Monday that it has hired XM's Joseph J. Euteneuer as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Qwest said the 53-year-old Euteneuer succeeds John W. Richardson, who is leaving the company. Qwest also said Euteneuer will report to Edward A. Mueller, the company's chairman and chief executive officer. Prior to Qwest, Euteneuer had served as executive vice president and CFO at XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. since 2002. Before that, he spent 15 years in various financial and operating executive roles at Comcast Corp. Qwest said Euteneuer currently resides in Washington D.C. but plans to relocate to the Denver area.
