Procerus Technologies Acquired By Lockheed Martin
Orem, Utah-based Procerus, a developer of autopilot, targeting and payload technologies for unmanned aircraft, has been acquired by Lockheed Martin. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Lockheed Martin said the acquisition will enhance its unmanned aerial vehicles, which it provides to the military. Procerus was founded in 2004, and makes software which handles target tracking, hovering of aircraft, automatic flight control, and more for surveillance and reconnaissance using unmanned aircraft. The firm was founded in 2004. Lockheed Martin said Procerus becomes part of its Mission Systems and Sensors (MS2) business.
