Private Equity Firm Buys Two Utah Scrapbooking Companies

Miami, Florida-based H.I.G. Capital, a private equity and venture capital firm, said today that it has acquired the majority interest in two Utah-based firms that provide scrapbooking products. H.I.G. Capital has purchased Die Cuts With A View, which is based in Provo, Utah; and Pressed Petals, which is based in Richfield, Utah. The firm is combining the two into DCWV, Inc. Both firms produce themed papers, stickers, embellishments, and other decorations for the scrapbooking market. Die Cuts With A View was listed as the fastest growing Utah company in the 2005 "Inc. 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies" list.
