Perky Jerky Picks Up Food Funding

Greenwood Village, Colorado-based food products maker Perky Jerky has scored a round of funding, from Boulder-based Sunrise Strategic Partners, the two said this morning. Size of the minority was not announced. Perky Jerky was founded in 2009 by Brian Levin. Sunrise Strategic Partners said the investment is the second investment for the firm, which was co-founded by Steve Hughes and Trilantic North America. Hughes was the founder of Boulder Brands. Sunrise says it invests in healthy, active and sustainable living companies that resonate with millennials, and have reached approximately $10-$20 million in revenue.
