Owlet Gets $15M For Baby Monitoring Devices

Lehi, Utah-based Owlet Baby Care, which develops connected, baby-monitoring socks, has raised $15M in a new funding round, the company said this morning. The funding came from Eclipse and Eniac, plus Trilogy Equity Partners, the Amazon Alexa Fund, RTP-HC, Capital Integral and Broadway Angels. The company also said it has also received a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The company has now raised $25M in total. Owlet is led by Kurt Workman. The company's product, the Owlet Smart Sock, tracks a baby's oxygen level and heart rate, sending that to a smartphone for monitoring. Owlet was part of Techstars.
