OpenLogic Launches Open Source Site

Broomfield, Colorado-based open-source software publisher OpenLogic Inc. revealed today that it has launched OpenLogic Exchange, a free Web site where companies can locate, research and download enterprise-ready, open-source packages. OpenLogic said the Exchange was designed to streamline the open-source process so that developers won't need to search through extensive, poorly managed repositories in order to find the open-source products that meet their needs. OpenLogic provides certified and supported versions of open source software packages for enterprises; the new web site includes information on the 300 open source software packages the firm supports. The new service is comparable to open source efforts like SourceForge, which provide searchable repositories of code and projects to developers.
