OpenLogic Indemnifies Open Source Customers

Broomfield, Colorado-based OpenLogic said today that it is now offering its customers indemnification coverage for intellectual property infringement on 160 open source projects offered by the firm. OpenLogic said the coverage was targeted at giving enterprises peace of mind when using open source products. The company said that the program will provide indemnification for intellectual property infringements, including defense of claims, repair and replacement of infringing software. OpenLogic is a provider of tools for managing open source software within enterprises, including ability to filter and approve products and to provide an audit trail of usage.
